Matt Baker was up in Shropshire in this week’s episode of Countryfile, and he was sporting the versatile Crosswind Jacket. Warm and waterproof with a sporty fit, the Crosswind Jacket was ideal for Matt as he got his hands dirty working with the volunteers on a cold and damp day winters’ day. Although it’s a jacket that’s normally seen on board a boat, it’s versatile enough to be worn anywhere, giving the protection you need and expect from Gill. It can also be paired with the matching Crosswind Salopettes for additional protection.
Matt was working with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust on this episode to help their latest conservation project as part of the ‘Love Your River’ campaign. This was launched in 2012 with the aim of promoting the value and benefits of rivers to everyday life. As sailors and boaters especially know, maintaining the quality of our rivers and reducing pollution is vitally important as it eventually has an effect on the quality of our reservoirs and lakes too.
There are many other trusts and organisation around the UK that need help in this huge conservation operation and you can find out how you can help by contacting your local Wildlife Trust.
